Who We Need
We are seeking an experienced Market Researcher to join our Custom Solutions team and
support our continued growth globally. Working closely with the Director for Custom
Solutions with focus on the LatAm/Southern Cone, your primary responsibility will be to take
ownership of end-to-end delivery of customized research projects. The role requires strong
experience of market research techniques in all stages of the project life cycle, from proposal
to presentation. This role will work collaboratively with other business leaders within
Advantage and clients to drive new pathways to successful and profitable business results.
Custom Solutions is a small, geographically dispersed team of experienced researchers with
an entrepreneurial mindset. In addition to excellent research credentials, we are also looking
for an individual that is proactive, flexible, has a can-do attitude and is able to work
independently.
What You Will Do
· Manage the end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of Custom Solution research projects,
with support and guidance of the Director of Custom Solutions.
o All aspects of research design and setup, including proposal development,
questionnaire design, survey link testing, contact database development and
management, liaising with market leaders, clients and with other Custom team members to the agreed schedule o Fieldwork management, coordinating survey launch, management and client communication between clients, market leaders, and within the team o Analysis and reporting of projects – the right individual will bring their research expertise to produce high quality insight reports with creative flair, persuasive story-telling and clear, actionable insights and recommendations with deliverables that include PowerPoint reports and an online dashboard o Engaging with the client to understand their research needs and to disseminate feedback, most often done via online meeting e.g. Teams – this is typically to a senior audience and requires an individual who is articulate, professional and confident o At all times, promote a best practice approach to project delivery and maintain a very high standard of data security · Contribute innovative ideas, business cases, and proof of concepts that can create value for the business · Contribute to business development opportunities; for example, providing ideas and inputs to new business pitches and proposals · Establish relationships with colleagues in both the Custom Solutions team as well as wider business (e.g. speaking with Advantage Group Country Managers to showcase Custom Solutions projects) Essential Qualifications · 5+ years’ agency-side experience in a Market Research / Insights role gained through hands on delivery of quantitative and qualitative research projects · Post-secondary education in a relevant subject (e.g. market research, business, marketing, economics, statistics) · Fully bi-lingual in English and Spanish to support the Custom Solutions teams primarily liaising in LatAm and Southern Cone · Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint · Proficient use of survey platforms, visualization and reporting tools such as Decipher, Dapresey, Forsta, DisplayR, Tableau, as well as project management tools, such as Monday.com · Desirable to have prior B2B and FMCG experience especially in LatAm/Southern Cone An excellent candidate will exhibit the following:
· An analytical mind with a high attention to detail and inclination to venture beyond the obvious data to dig out insights and land a story that drives strategic action · Passionate about the CPG and grocery retail landscape, with an understanding of the main trends and challenges that the industry is facing · Strong communication & storytelling skills (written and verbal). Comfortable presenting to and delivering recommendations to a broad range of internal and external stakeholders · Proactive and curious. Takes initiative to develop their own hypothesis and proposals for further insights exploration, identifying opportunities for commercial case studies and data-driven thought leadership · Ability to work with a great sense of urgency while maintaining high standards and a connection to deliverables. · Ability to mobilize and leverage other team members to collaborate on high impact projects · Ability to be proactive and recommend improved approaches over current processes. · An interest and willingness to learn new tools.
