Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to Work in an Agile Environment 

Advantage Group International is seeking a quality assurance analyst to join our Digital team to help us improve and enhance the client-facing, back-office applications and data flows that drive our business.

Who We Are Seeking 

We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst that can apply their experience to our intricate business climate, helping us to revolutionize our business workflows and client experiences in over forty countries.  The successful candidate will be working with business analysts, data analysts and developers to test all solution components, ensuring adherence to requirements and a superb user experience. 

We are transforming our business through technology, replacing the existing processes with leading edge tools to deliver a best-in-class user experience to both internal and external applications.  A variety of internal applications, external systems, and manual processes are used to create surveys and analyse responses. 

In other words, we need someone who:  

  • Is a Quality Assurance Analyst with a track record (minimum 7 years) of thoroughly testing innovative solutions to complex problems. 

  • Can work in an agile environment (be part of a team and manage your own time). 

  • Can create detailed test scenarios and test cases to ensure coverage for all functional and non-functional requirements for current and future applications. 

  • Thrives in a small multi-disciplinary team environment. 

  • Can mentor other team members to improve their quality assurance and testing skills. 

  • Able to learn independently and quickly. 
     

Your Day-to-Day 

Currently – in production – a variety of internal applications and external systems are used to create surveys, analyse responses, and report the results.  We are maintaining current production systems and enhancing their functionality and performance.  Your responsibilities will involve: 

  • Review and understand functional and non-functional requirements, Workflows and Use Cases 

  • Work with development and BA teams in defining and creating Acceptance Criteria, Test Plans, Test Scenarios, Test Cases, and Test Data 

  • Assist in automating manual tests cases as required 

  • Ensure required test coverage for new and existing functionality through functional, non-functional, security, usability and regression testing 

  • Demonstrate functionality to business users to ensure alignment with requirements 

  • Mentor fellow team members. 

Your Characteristics 

You must have:  

  • Experience analyzing use cases, workflows and non-functional (Security, Performance, Usability, Accessibility) requirements 

  • Experience in creating test scenarios and test cases 

  • Advanced quality assurance/testing skills: problem solving, critical thinking, visual modeling. 

  • A proven track record working in and with software development teams using established methodologies such as Agile. 

  • Experience working with 3rd party vendors and development partners  

  • Excellent intra- and inter-team communication, written and verbal: documentation, presentation and training, facilitation, negotiation, evangelism. 

  • Competent decision-making skills. 

  • A high comfort level mentoring other team members. 

You must be: 

  • A creative thinker:  need to be able to come up with novel solutions to established problems and evaluate their business benefit. 

  • Business-savvy:  need to be able to interact with both business specs and technical specs. 

  • Detail-oriented (being able to pay close attention and notice minor details) 

Knowledge in the following business domains is a plus:  

  • Legal and Privacy issues (GDPR) 

  • Usability and usability testing 

  • Survey and report design 

The following technical knowledge is beneficial:  

  • Software architecture and relational data 

  • How the internet works 

  • Software and Internet security 

  • Test management tools
