Who We’re Seeking to Join Our Team:

We are seeking an experienced FMCG market research manager to join our Australia/NZ research operations team. You will be confident managing the end-to-end delivery of research programs, from pre-field survey set up, across fieldwork and through to report delivery.  
This is a hands on role. We are looking for a highly organised research manager, with strong project management skills, to co-ordinate all aspects of the Advantage Benchmark study ensuring quantitative surveys, coverage and qualitative fieldwork for all respondents participating in the program, are delivered to a high standard, on time and in line with data protection and internal quality requirements.

You will be a strong communicator, a confident people leader and cross-functional collaborator, with the ability to coordinate & manage internal stakeholders, and act as a key partner across Operations, Client Delivery teams and Qualitative functions.
We are looking for a team member with strong operational judgement, a curious mind and the ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment. With an eye for detail, and a love of numbers & analytics, you will bring a continuous improvement mindset to the role. You will be comfortable and experienced in using Ai to proactively drive efficiency, quality, and scalable processes while maintaining high standards of data integrity and programme output.
Experience in managing a team is favourable but not essential. While this position does not currently manage direct reports, there is potential for this role to take on team management in the future. 

What Success Looks Like in this Role:

Key Responsibilities:
Contributor & Respondent Delivery
  • Deliver programs on time and in budget
  • Ensure high survey participation for all programs to achieve set engagement targets/completion rates
  • Own the end to end operational delivery of respondent engagement and fieldwork activity from pre field setup through to reporting handover.
  • Ensure respondent nominations, contact data and databases are accurately managed, compliant with data protection and ready for program launch.
  • Oversee live fieldwork delivery, including survey monitoring, respondent follow ups and coverage management to meet program targets.
  • Act as the operational point of contact for respondent related queries and in field issues.
Programme & Output Management
  • Retain responsibility for core program management activities, including tracker maintenance, data integrity checks and operational reporting inputs.
  • Coordinate qualitative workflows across interviewing, transcription, editing & coding and ensure high quality commentary and coverage to deliver to client reporting requirements.
  • Handover of final Qual & Quant reporting outputs to GTM (Client Service) teams ready for report writing. Respond to Client Service follow up requests post reporting as required.
Operational Excellence
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and scalability across contributor engagement processes.
  • Encourage consistent ways of working, effective use of tools and adoption of automation or AI where appropriate.


The Capabilities and Skills that Matter:
  • 4-5 years market research experience in agency side or FMCG client side
  • A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. market research, psychology, business, marketing, economics, statistics)
  • Experience/knowledge of FMCG industry across Australia, Grocery/Supermarket channel is essential. An excellent candidate will have a keen interest in FMCG and retail, and the dynamics of engagements and relationships between partners in these sectors.
  • Knowledge of Liquor & Pharmacy also desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency while maintaining high standards and a connection to deliverables.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly MS Excel
  • Highly organised, detail‑oriented and comfortable working with data, trackers and reporting outputs.
  • Continuous improvement mindset. Comfortable with Ai and a desire to explore continuous improvement around our current processes and deliverables to drive efficiencies in research deliverables.
  • Curious with data & and enjoy problem solving
  • Strong operational judgement with the ability to manage complex delivery in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Confident communication and relationship skills, proven ability to collaborate across functions

  • People person, team player and possess skills to manage/lead team now or in the future
     
Reporting Relationship: This role reports to the Manager, Operations ANZ

Location: We support a hybrid way of work. This role is hybrid and based in Sydney, Australia. The role can be largely remote, or office based, or a combination of the two. Expectation will be to attend the office in person on Monday’s each week and for occasional events, meetings, conferences etc. Sydney Head Office is located in French’s Forest.

Expected Salary Range: $100-120K per year + Superannuation.
